What's New at Preservation Hall: Spring 2008

April Weaverville Art SafariThe Bradford Pear trees are in full bloom, temperatures range from 30’s overnight to 60’s during the day, the Blue Ridge Parkway is now open; spring is definitely here in the mountains of Western North Carolina.

The Spring Weaverville Art Safari Tour of the artists’ home studios is the last weekend in April (the 26th & 27th). If you are in the area and enjoy a variety of great art, it is a terrific event. We carry work from a number of these artisans, along with items from members of the Southern Highland Guild.

As we find quality items, our architectural inventory continues to grow. These pieces are not limited to the southeastern part of the US; as an example, many of our doors are from the Midwest & Northeast. Just in: seven sets of great exterior French doors with transom windows from a home in the Grove Park area of Asheville, NC.

Along with our large inventory of old vintage hardware we have added a line of high quality vintage reproduction hardware for cabinets, doors, etc. We do not think you’ll find better quality at a lower price than these restoration items.
